Whatever the recipient wants! It's private tuition, designed around what they want and need. They tell me what they want to learn, and I'll do my very best to get them up to speed.
As private tuition is tailored to their needs, their current knowledge isn't really a concern, we can get them up and running with confidence if they're a beginner, or help them with a specific area of photography if they're further along their photographic journey.
The gift voucher is valid for 2 years from date of purchase.

The private photography tuition I offer is based on a 4 hour session, and is usually along these lines...
1 to 2 hours spent running through the technical side of photography - apertures, ISO's, shutter speeds, exposure compensation, white balance, focusing modes etc. - followed by a walk about to try out techniques and put into practice what we've looked at indoors.
However, the session's tailored to the customer's requirements, so we may spend all the time on practical photography, maybe with a specific subject or technique in mind.
The birds of prey private photography tuition is based on a 4 hour session, and is usually along these lines...
We'll probably photograph 3 or 4 different birds during this time, and for most people this is a purely practical photography session, so we'll do portrait shots of a bird in a suitable environment, then if it's one that flies, we'll fly it, and do our very best to get good shots of it in the air. We'll repeat this throughout the session, with advice and tuition along the way as required.
I have had customers as young as 11 benefiting from private tuition, and would be happy for younger photographers to enjoy some tuition too. The other end of the age spectrum is not a problem either!
Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a designated, appropriate adult; this may be a family member, nanny or chaperone. If the appropriate adult is not receiving tuition no extra charge will be incurred.
Younger photographers may be better with a couple of 2 hour sessions rather than a 4 hour one.
I normally provide the tuition at locations such as Hanningfield Reservoir near Billericay, RHS Hyde Hall near South Woodham Ferrers, Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Bedfords Park near Romford, and Weald Park in Brentwood.
I'm also happy to visit the customer's home or business address, and this may be more practical if tuition for software such as Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop is being provided.
Please be aware that for private tuition I charge travel costs on sessions taking place more than approximately 10 miles from my home address, as a rough guide the map below shows the area in red where travel costs are included in the prices quoted above, outside of this area I am likely to make an extra charge. This can be added to the cost of the voucher, or it can be left off so the recipient can decide at time of booking where they would like the session to take place.
By far the easiest way is to use the form and Paypal payment method above, but you can also send me a cheque made payable to 'Daniel Bridge Photography', for the relevant amount, to the address shown on the Contact page. Please ensure you remember to tell me the recipient's name(s), as this goes on the voucher.
Most sites that I use are accessible to some degree, but some are better than others in this respect.
Hanningfield Reservoir has good surfaced paths and no gradients to speak of, and is suitable for all mobile capabilities.
Hylands Park also has good surfaced paths and few gradients, at least in the area near the house, so is also suited to those with mobility issues.
Bedfords Park and Weald Park are fine around the Visitor Centre, with some surfaced paths with shallow gradients, but there are fewer areas to explore before having to go onto unmade paths with uneven surfaces.
RHS Hyde Hall is on a hill, and participants may need to be able to get from the lower car park to the top of the garden. There are good surfaced paths, as well as a tarmac roadway, so mobility scooters are no problem, and there is a shuttle bus to the top of the garden if all they need is a help up the hill. Private tuition allows us to cater for the client though, and there are plenty of areas with few gradients where tuition can take place.
If you have any concerns, please contact me to discuss so that we can try to make things as straightforward as possible.
Send us your questions and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
