Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers can be bought to be redeemed against private photography tuition with Daniel Bridge. These are usually 4 hour sessions at the prices stated on the Gift Vouchers page. Vouchers cannot currently be used to pay for workshops.

Gift vouchers are valid for 2 years from date of purchase, and the expiry date is printed on the voucher. It is the responsibility of the voucher holder to ensure a tuition session is booked prior to the expiry of the voucher, and sufficient time should be allowed to facilitate the booking prior to the expiry date.

Gift Vouchers with an expiry date between 01/03/2020 and 30/09/2022 automatically received a 1 year extension to that expiry date, and those with expiry dates between 01/10/22 and 31/03/23 a six month extension, due to the Covid-19 lockdown periods. These vouchers have now all expired.

Payment

You can pay for services and gift vouchers in several ways. Daniel Bridge accepts most major credit and debit cards for online orders using the secure payment system of Paypal. When buying a Gift Voucher, once the 'Pay with PayPal' or 'Debit or Credit Card' button has been clicked, you will transferred to the Paypal website to complete the purchase in their secure environment. You will be asked to enter your card details and the name and the address of the card holder when you place the order, or payment can be made using your Paypal account if applicable.

Please ensure you include a return address, contact phone number, and the name(s) of the Gift Voucher's recipient(s).

Payment by cash, card, bank transfer, or cheque on the day is equally acceptable for private tuition booked directly with Daniel.

Refunds

When you buy at a distance (under the Distance Selling Regulations) you have the right to cancel your order anytime from when you place it to fourteen days after the date you received the goods and a full refund to be paid as soon as possible but at least within 30 days of cancellation. This applies to any Gift Voucher purchases made through this website, whether by post, telephone or online. In the event that a refund is required within fourteen days of receipt, either email Daniel Bridge Photography at refunds2026@danielbridge.co.uk, or send a letter to the above address, quoting your address, voucher number, and the name on the voucher. It will not be necessary to return the voucher, as the serial number will be voided at the time of refund, but it is advisable to destroy the voucher to avoid embarrassment.

Cancellation

Please be aware that cancellation of workshops and tuition can be made for a variety of reasons, including, but not limited to, illness, severe weather warnings, insufficient booking numbers, and unavailability of the venue.

Wherever possible, Daniel Bridge avoids the cancellation of private tuition. In the case of inclement weather, it is preferable to go ahead with the tuition session, as most sessions start indoors, and will remain so for 1-2 hours, in which time the weather may improve. If it doesn't, the second half of the session can be scheduled more easily around other bookings than a 4 hour session would be. In the case of illness or other unavoidable circumstance, as much notice as possible will be given to the client, and new dates offered as soon as is practical.

With regard to workshop places booked direct with Daniel Bridge, if the workshop is cancelled by Daniel Bridge, as much notice as possible will be given and all monies paid to Daniel Bridge will be refunded within 7 days, or an alternative workshop date offered.

For workshops booked through the organisation that runs the venue, such as those booked through Essex Wildlife Trust, the RHS, and Call of the Wild Zoo, refunds will be carried out by that organisation. Daniel Bridge has no dealing with the bookings for these, and all correspondence should be directed to the booking venue.

If workshop bookings are below the threshold required to make it viable to run, the workshop will be cancelled. This threshold varies depending on the workshop, location, and venue organisation. At least 4 days notice will be provided if cancellation is required.

Liability cannot be accepted for travel or any other costs. We cannot guarantee that any workshop will definitely proceed, so please consider travel insurance if making a special journey to attend a workshop.

For workshops booked directly with Daniel Bridge, if you need to cancel your booking, please advise Daniel Bridge as soon as possible. A full refund will be made if the cancellation is made at least 7 days prior to the workshop date, and a 50% refund if cancellation is made no less than 48 hours before the workshop. For cancellation within 48 hours of any workshop, no refunds will be given.

For workshop booked through a third party such as Essex Wildlife Trust, the RHS, or Call of the Wild Zoo, please be aware that each organisation has their own cancellation policy, refunds may not be given, alternative dates may be provided. Please check details when booking through their websites.

Expired Vouchers

Gift Vouchers are valid for 2 years in order to give the recipient plenty of time to book up the tuition session before the voucher expires. Even so, sometimes the recipient wishes to extend the validity of a voucher. The voucher's expiry date can be extended for 6 months from the original expiry date at a cost of £40, payable at the time of the request. No further extension, or variation in these terms, will be permitted.
